First prize winner of the hat contest.

British Business Group organises ‘Royal Ascot Ladies Day’

The “Royal Ascot Ladies’ Day”, a special cultural and sporting event, was an occasion for all guests to dress elegantly and an opportunity to wear a chic hat, especially for the ladies and for some men.
The event was organised by the British Business Group Lao at the Lao Land Rover showroom on June 16. It was supported by Lao Land Rover, whose managing director, Mr Wayne McIntosh, launched the hat fashion show and contest with the entrance of a Land Rover Defender carrying the lady who modelled the first hat.
The hat contest was judged by the ladies in the public and created great excitement. One first prize, one second prize and three third prizes were won in the heated competition.
 The Royal Ascot Ladies’ Day horse races were projected live onto a giant video screen. Everyone had a lot of fun and the general opinion in the audience was that the event should be repeated, especially since Ascot style hats had made an impressive entrance into Laos. The organisers thanked the host, Lao Land Rover, and Ban Keo Hats, Love Life, Crown Plaza, Souphattra Service Apartments, Métisse Restaurant and Artisan Cocktail Bar for supporting the event.
Ms Soudavanh Boupha got the first prize winner of hat contest. She said It was A very special event to celebrate a great British tradition – Ladies’ Day at the Royal Ascot Races, where elegance is crowned by beautiful and inventive hats. As well as There will be a hat fashion show and contest with prizes, and live video feed from the Royal Ascot races projected onto a giant screen.
